I was on Pinterest last night when I came across this idea, might be a fun new tradition to start.
If you’re a crafter this is a really great website heart-2-home.com she’s got all kinds of stuff posted including a Diaper Wreath….recipies and more.
I’ve decided to call this project , The Jar of Awesomeness 🙂
Start on January 1st with an empty jar. Throughout the year write the good things that happened to you on little pieces of paper. On December 31st, open the jar and read all the amazing things that happened to you that year
What a great idea. I’m going to start today with this being the first awesome “idea thing” that I’m going to do!! Thank you!
Glad you like it, I’m going to get the girls to start one as well. It’ll be fun to read them the following year!
How neat. Doesn’t take any room. Can just be scribbled on the back of an envelope or whatever is at hand at the moment.
I love this project….:) Easy Peesy.
Fantastic idea! I’m in 🙂
It awesome isn’t it?!!
What a great idea! We tend to dwell on the calamities more than on the rewards of living a great life each and every day. Thanks for reminding me to be more appreciative of the “good things.” http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
🙂 You’ve given me a great idea, I think I’ll let the girls “name” their jars, one could be the “good things jar” or “feel goods jar” 🙂
I’ve already designated my jar!! What a great idea.
I’ve got 4 , one for each of us lined up, it will help us to “find the positive” everyday 🙂 It will be so much fun to open them up the following year and read them all…all 365 of them!! I’m glad your doing one too!
That is a great idea! Love the image, too. I think I might also have my daughter do this with me. Fun! Happy New Year Angie 🙂
Thank you , I have our jars all lined up for Tuesday morning, I’m giving an empty jar to our “old” neighbour Emily as well, hope you have a wonderful New Year as well!
Angie
Beautiful idea! Thank you!
Best wishes for 2013 – may your jar fill soon and you graduate to a gallon jar… 😉
Tomas
I thought it was a wonderful idea for my children, sometimes it’s hard for them (and myself) to find good in everyday. 😀

I love it! Thank you! 🙂
I’m glad you like it, I had to share it as soon as I saw the idea. 😀
I love this idea, I’m going to try it.
It’s “awesome” isn’t it…I’ve been doing it every other day or so. It will be fun to go through them at the end of the year.
I’ve never heard of that, what an awesome idea. I’ll go get me a jar right now!
I thought it was an “awesome” idea, someone suggested that when you’re having a bad day to open it up and read a few and put back again for another day.
What a great idea! It’s so easy to look at the negative side of life. Perhaps when we are feeling down we could open the jar, read the notes, then but them back for another day. Thanks for following my blog by the way 🙂
That’s a great idea! Thank you, I’m looking forward to reading more of your blog, love it.

I’m putting you in the awesome jar! Thanks for the great idea.
Gee thanks 😀 It’s an “awesome” idea!!!! Mine is slowly filling up, I don’t find it too hard to find something awesome in my day!
You are right! There is something awesome in every day! We just have to recognize it!
Can be difficult sometimes in the “hustle and bustle” of life to stop and “smell the roses”.
