This is not a New Years resolution, the timing is just coincidental.
I have written about my weight gain in previous posts and have not followed through with anything I said I would. No surprise there…

My back has been so sore since boxing day, and last night it hit its peak!! Each time I moved the pain would take my breath away, I don’t often have trouble with my back. Like most people if I’ve lifted something heavy or over done it a little my back will be sore for a day or two but this is much different.
I have not been walking or doing any form of exercise but to lift a fork full of food to my face or lift a full glass of wine to my mouth!
I truly believe the pain I’m experiencing in my back is from the extra weight I’m hauling around. I’ve gained 25 – 30 pounds, this is quite a bit on my frame and need to lose it. My healthy weight is 120 – 125. I am now pushing 155, my body is feeling the extra pounds not to mention all that fat sitting around my organs forcing them to work harder and making me feel sluggish all the time. I just need to do it.
We have been getting ready to go to church this morning which we have not done in quite some time tsk tsk and I pulled from the closet a pair of pants that used to fit nicely, well Paul needed to get out the ol body shoe horn to force these pants on me, there I am dancing my way into these pants, quite a site… my sister has always teased me that I have no bum and have a body like a boy. Well I look like no boy now and that was the hardest part ….. getting them up over my now obvious bum. 😀 I am happy to say that these pants have a little bit of spandex woven into them so that they have a little give when I sit down, otherwise this could be disastrous.
So starting Monday 😀 , well actually today, I will go back to my active self which will include walking, learning to push the plate away and of course Yoga which I love.

I’m with ya!! Tomorrow I start my January cleanse….no wine, no processed foods and meals go on a smaller plate so it looks like more food.
The no wine part is going to be tough but I need to prove to myself I can do without 🙂 It’s a lifestyle change which will benefit everyone in my home. 😀
You don’t need luck, just desire beautiful. Much desire I wish upon you. I live yoga, and walking. You do those two 4-5x weekly and you will live longer and be healthier. Remember, it’s not about how the pants fit (but I get that too), it’s about you the human being fit! You’ve lots of work to do!
I totally agree!!!! The lots of work part I’m not liking so much 😀 I am looking for the “human being fit” this does not feel good….Yoga for me is good for the brain and the body it’s really the best!
Good luck Angie Grapevine! I applaud your resolve – I’m sure you’ll be successful. You sound like someone who is very strong and determined once a decision has been made. Don’t ever worry about a little slip along the way (hand/bottle to mouth I mean), just keep on truckin! Ummmmm ….. Did you ever get to church by the way? Prayer and Yoga are not dissimilar. Way to go Angie Grapevine … oh, and get that guy with the shoehorn to go out to get you some Platinum Robax – best thing for your back. Also, get him to take over the household duties for a while and you rest – Mother Nature is telling you to take it easy. Listen to her. She is a wise old crone! All the best!

I’m starting tomorrow because I can’t deal with this anymore. I’ve gained some weight as well, and I just can’t keep it on. I’ve been having a similar back pain that I’m sure is from that, and I get winded walking up my stairs! In October, I was running 5 miles! I need to get back into shape! We can do this!
It doesn’t feel good does it? I just feel yucky all the time. I forgot about the running…you’re right , We can do this!!! You can be my “long distance” coach 😀
ok! We’ll keep each other on track! I actually went to the gym today and it felt amazing!
Deal, I’ve done Yoga today and only 15 min on treadmill 😦 Will hop on again tonight though 🙂
