Little Kitchen Fairies

This has been another busy week.  I left for work yesterday and the kitchen was quite a mess.  Coffee spills, bread crumbs, pots waiting to be washed.

We had gone out for dinner with friends last night and had a wonderful time, lots of laughs, good food and amazing company!  I didn’t have time between coming home from work and going out to tidy up.

Both the girls had invited friends over to spend the night, they had all gone out to play in the snow until around 10:30 last night.  I had looked at the mess in the kitchen which had grown and decided just to leave it and go to bed, I’d deal with it in the morning.

I woke up this morning and dreaded the mess that would greet me.

When I entered the kitchen it was immaculate, pots cleaned, dishes washed in the dishwasher, not a crumb to be found, the counters had been wiped and dish cloths neatly hung on the sink!!!!

My heart began to melt 😀 😀

The girls had pitched in and cleaned up the kitchen and had cleaned up the bits and pieces lying around the livingroom and  dining room, they even took the garbage out!!!!

These are truly the things that make me happy!!!

Some may say that they should have done this anyway…but they were not asked to do it, they just took it upon themselves to do something nice and I has made my day!!!!!
