Goin on a Glamping trip!!!!

Yet another crazy week, there didn’t seem to be enough hours in the day … how cliché 😀 😀

Tonight I have been busy getting ready for a camping trip!

All the girls in the family are going, with just a couple of interruptions :D, Paul will visit on Saturday and my dear brother “Andiroo” will join us on Sunday with his three girls. 😀 😀

This will be our tent……..

How to Hull a Strawberry for Mary Anne

My fellow blogger Mary Anne is very talented in the writing department, but not so much in kitchen, apparently she does not know how to hull a strawberry…. so I thought I would post this little “how to” for her today. 😀 😀

The only problems with strawberries as I see it is that before you can use them, you have to take off their leafy green bonnets.

Hulling strawberries is not a big deal. Sure you can just lop them off at their shoulders with a paring knife, like a lot of people do, but I believe that strawberries deserve more than being unceremoniously decapitated.

There are a couple of ways to do it, you can use a strawberry huller, they cost between $2 and $3, or you can use a plastic straw. or of course your paring knife.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend, I am off to the big city of Newmarket to go Grad dress shopping with my lovely mother and 4 teen and pre teen girls….oh my.
Must remember to stop a the liquor store on our way down 😀 😀 😀

I just entered my poem…..if you can call it that, but it is up to AngiesGrapevine standards 😀 😀

I’m drinking Bud Light
Hoping to win the poetry contest tonight
Papizilla my buddy and pal
Is great for my Moral
HE invited me to write
He must think I’m clever and  bright

So I said All right
I’ll get writing tonight
I never claimed to be a Farley Mowat
I’m Just a girl with a blog
Who owns an old sled dog

I drink Because I’m a poet
Who just doesn’t know it
I think this poem is quite good
Not sure how the ending should go
So I’m off to make some food
For I am
Hungry
