So the wheels started turning in my dear mothers head and she came up with this awesome idea for her cake!!

not only did she put a half naked man on a pre teens cake she took Daughter #2  to see

8 days and a Gallon Margarita

Wow!! It’s been 8 days since I last posted!!!

We were looking after “the boss man’s” puppy, Bentley a.k.a Marley!

Bentley baby was picked up on Saturday night and life is slowly getting back to normal 😀

He really wasn’t all that bad, we found the mornings the worst, 3 dogs excited to go outside and 2 indoor cats waiting to make a break for it!

We’d have him back in a heartbeat!

Last night “the boss man” invited us over for a drink, one of his signature Margaritas.

He mixed up a huge batch in a blender enough for the 4 of us but he won’t share his secret mix. 😀

The one drink that I did have, was pretty potent! I was a little tippy on the way up the hill to the driveway. 😀

I think I’ll be one up on him with this recipe though!

gallonmarg

Gallon Margartita

6 cups tequila (you’ll need to buy two fifths for this)
2½ cups triple sec (just buy one fifth, please)
2½ cups fresh lime juice
2½ cups fresh lemon juice
2 cups simple syrup

Mix ingredients together in gallon container. Don’t forget to refrigerate! When ready to serve, pour mixture into a 16-ounce glass filled with ice. Salted rim is optional.

Makes 21 margaritas.

Then I had a visit with my friend Deboarah at the Cona Stoa the inspiration for this blog, came home and did a bit of house work then sat on the deck for a couple of hours enjoying the sunshine alcohol free and then we went out for dinner CHINESE…YUM

This was my fortune: “Laugh long, loud and often”  loved it as this is similar to what I add at the end of my post courtesy of Me and the Boss 2013

and of course we must add “in the bedroom” to the end of any fortune for added entertainment, so here goes

Laugh long, loud and often in the bedroom. 😀

Today I will do much of the same, it’s another beautiful day!!!

Summer Pupsicles

Our dogs love popsicles and ice cream!!

I found some great Pupsicle recipes at Modern Dog

DIYEat-PlatedPopsicle

BASIC RECIPE

1 ripe banana 4 cups orange juice 1/2 cup plain yogurt

Puree all ingredients in a blender—or simply mash the banana by hand and combine with the juice and yogourt—then pour into a popsicle mold, freeze, and serve to your favourite hot dogs.

VARIATIONS

Switch up your fruit. Try subbing in: Blueberries Strawberries Peach Watermelon Or mix in some peanut butter.

You can also vary the juice you use. Try pineapple juice or apple juice; just check to be sure the juice you use is all-natural and has no added sugar.

* watermelon, strawberry, pineapple juice, and yogurt

* peanut butter, banana, apple juice, and yogurt

Homemade (no salt) chicken-broth pops

DIYEat-StockPopsicle

Had barbequed chicken for dinner? Don’t chuck the carcass! Throw it in a large pot, cover with water, and let it simmer for an hour and a half. Cool, then pick the meat off, discarding the bone but keeping the cartilage, meat, and broth. Left over cooked carrots and/or peas? Mash them up and mix them in! Pour the chicken broth into your popsicle mold (save whatever’s leftover as a tasty addition to your dog’s next few meals) and freeze. Best served outside. –

Feeling lazy?

Simply cube some Watermelon, chuck it in a Ziplock baggie, and toss it in to the freezer for a natural, on-the-go “freezie” you and your dog can share. –

DIYEat-WatermelonCubes

Our dogs love most fruits and veggies especially watermelon, Sims loves cantaloupe and peas!

There is a story making the rounds that ice can cause bloat in dogs. While extreme cold, such as drinking a bucket of ice water, might cause the stomach to spasm, it’s unlikely to cause either bloat (the stomach fills up with gas) or torsion (the stomach flips over and twists the entrance and exit-a life threatening problem). At any rate, we suggest that people only give their dogs one pupsicle at a time; they’re intended to be a treat, not eaten 12 in a go anyways. 🙂

I found these great recipes at the Modern Dog website.
