It’s Camping season

I am a born again camper.

Growing up our summer vacations were spent travelling all over Ontario camping…..many times I’d whine and complain especially as I got a little older but thinking back, camping was the best vacation ever!

My mum is in her early 70’s and still is an avid camper, hiker and canoe-r 🙂  she would take daughter #1  along with my sister and niece #1 and nephew #1 and meet my brother before he had a family of his own and go camping for a week.

I went camping last year for the first time in 30 years….makes me sound quite old….

Last year for my 44th birthday I was presented with the most amazing tent ever!!!  It has travelled all over the world and finally ended up with me 😀

It’s a tent made by Black & Edgington and I think this is probably one of the originals.

I have never been so happy with a gift EVER, the smell of old damp canvas…..ahhhhhh one of the best scents in the world!!!!

It was THE BEST Birthday I have ever had, my family went all out and I’ll never forget it!!!!  You can read all about it if you like here  and here   😀

That is my lovely sister and I can you see the similarities???  I didn’t think so ….. she is soooo the milk mans daughter LOL

I can’t wait to go camping again….and I’m even more excited since I found this site called Buzz Feed
