Finally, Finally the snow has stopped!!!!
The kids went back to school after 2 1/2 weeks of Christmas vacation! Lucky kids!!
The sky is clear tonight and it’s getting a little colder, the best part about the snow finally stopping is we might be able to see the Northern lights. I stole this little bit of info from MSN – The sun shot out a strong solar flare late Tuesday, which should arrive at Earth early Thursday, which means it will shake up Earth’s magnetic field and expand the Aurora Borealis south, possibly as far south as Colorado and central Illinois. He said the best viewing would probably be Thursday evening, weather permitting.
The solar storm is already causing airline flights to be diverted around the North Pole and South Pole and may disrupt GPS devices Thursday.
The northern lights are a result of charged particles from the sun interacting with the Earth’s magnetic field. As particles from the solar wind enter the Earth’s upper atmosphere, they collide with the individual atoms of our atmosphere to produce the spectacular light show.
Here are some photos from snow-covered Muskoka ON. ! 😀 😀
I’m going to stop my complaining – what an incredible amount of snow. Thank you for sharing! Just your PJ bottoms?
Why yes! I am a Northern Canadian Girl eh!! haha
Thanks for sharing Angie. It’s great to see what is happening in the colder part of the world.
Anytime Mal 😀 What is your weather like?
We had a heat wave here last weekend – 45 degrees! To give you an idea about today’s weather, we took the boat out this morning and then spent the afternoon swimming in the pool.
Oh how nice 😦 I have just come in with the dogs and because we have had rain on top of all of this glorious snow it is a skating rink out there, it has since begun to snow a little again oh joy 😀 Hope you enjoyed your day poolside LoL Thank you for the update . (please read this response with humor) 😀 Enjoy your day!!!! We may go snowshoeing today, perfect weather for it actually.
Despite being cold your weather does sound wonderful. I went to the travel agent last week and got some brochures on Canada. I’m trying to talk my wife and kids into a family trip. Maybe October but lots more planning and thinking yet.
October is a beautiful month to visit Canada, the colors in Ontario are amazing at that time of year!
Come and visit Muskoka 😀 😀
What a whooper you have there.
I haven’t seen this much snow come down all at once here in a very long time, we are getting a little more today.
And that’s why we went south. Thank God you have your sense of humour and your Canadian beer! 🙂
You need a sense of humor to live here Haha, the cooler works really well, keeps our bevies at the perfect temperature 😀 😀 I do love the snow though and it looks beautiful.
I bet you just Photoshopped those snow pictures. lol
Never trust anybody wearing Minnie Mouse pajama bottoms. What about the tops?????
You are very funny, honestly no photoshopping going on!! 😀 I was wearing a matching top if you must know 😀
Canadian cooler! We Canadians know how to be resourceful! I had no idea you were from Muskoka, lots of interesting Canadians here!
The cooler works really well especially in a power outage 😀 Priorities 😀 We haven’t had this amount of snow fall all at once in a very long time, really hard to keep up on, kids are loving it though and had those extra couple of days of school to extend their holidays 😀
